Selecting a high quality fleece to spin yourself sounds like a wonderful idea, but where do even begin to process it? With skirting and washing! Shania will walk students through skirting a fleece for best results, and through scouring a fleece to best remove dirt and lanolin.
A fleece will be provided for demonstration purposes. Students do not need to bring a fleece of their own, but are encouraged to wear clothes that can get dirty or wet. (Or a good apron.) Heavy dish washing gloves are nice to wear during the washing process.
