This show is an Approved ALSA Show by the Alpaca Llama Show Association Inc.  All rules and guidelines for this show will be in accordance with the current edition of the ALSA HANDBOOK.  Exhibitors must be the registered owners and make entry in the exact names as shown on the registration certificate.  The handler is not required to be the owner.  All llamas 5 months and older entered in approved classes must be registered or have passed screening in the Llama Division of the International  Registry ILR or the Canadian Livestock Record Corporation.  With the exception of animals to be shown in Youth Classes, Novice, Advanced, Master or Open Performance classes and non-breeders with vet certification.   Any exhibitor desiring an exemption to the registration requirements for a llama or alpaca should send a written petition to the ALSA Board of Directions and have resolution prior to registration of this show.
Registration papers (Photocopies) must be sent with the entry form to show management for verification of name and age.  Failure to meet this requirement prohibits entry in the show.  Exhibitor is responsible for meeting requirements for pack class as stated in the ALSA Handbook.
We have the Dairy barn reserved for animals, however they do not provide the stalls.  We are not allowed to tie animals out to trailers as the public will be using the driveway to go from the Vendor building to the Class building.  Safety first, we must use the barn area.  We want to encourage the MidPlains fiber fair participants to come and enjoy our animals when they are not in competition.
Stalling is available if you bring your own panels space is 10 x 10 with dirt floors.  If you need panels please contact us before the show and we will attempt to help you out.  Exhibitors are asked to avoid over-crowding your animals in stalls.  You may not leave items outside stalls, no hay, tables, tack can be left in the aisles, sides of stalls, inside doors etc..  Plan ahead and keep all items inside a stall area.  Decorating is encouraged for your farm, and please be safe with items that may cause harm to animals if they come into contact with it.  Exhibitor is responsible for cleaning the stall after the end of the show.        *^*^*^*^  AWARD FOR BEST STALL DISPLAY*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
Arriving on Friday to set up and decorate is recommended.  This event had a great attendance last year, and is expected to grow in numbers this year.  We will want to be set up as the public arrives early on Saturday, as they expect certain vendors to sell out and want to come early.  We will want to be ready to show by 7:30am to get thru all the classes.
NON ALSA FUN CLASSES will be ongoing all day.

THIS SHOW WILL BE HELD OUTDOORS    No matter what the weather!!  Think NEBRASKA!  Please dress accordingly, and be a good scout coming prepared.  We may experience great weather or cold and have even had snow, anything is possible.  Bring layers of clothing to be able to meet the challenges of the day.
