Ever wanted to learn how to spin faster? It’s too bad there is no way. However, using the long draw drafting technique will speed up your drafting time. This class will go over how to prep fibers for woolen spinning, how to spin using supported long draw drafting, and other methods of prep for such method. Spinners will need to be able to spin and have basic knowledge of their spinning wheel. Spinners must also bring their own wheel to class. Hand carders would be nice to bring if the spinner has a pair. Some carders will be available to borrow. Different fibers will be available for spinners to try their newly learned technique.
Students should bring a working spinning wheel they are comfortable spinning on.
