Hall of Breeds
Come see the wonderful variety in the world of sheep and other fiber animals! The hall of breeds will be located in the cattle barn.
Fiber producers and those who raise fiber animals are welcome to bring their animals to showcase in the hall of breeds. We would like to have one pen or example each of as many breeds as possible!
If you are interested in bringing some of your animals to display, here are some important things to know:
Please contact Kelsey at [email protected] or (402)405-1971 for more information or to register to bring your animals.

If you are interested in bringing some of your animals to display, here are some important things to know:
- Small pens will be provided. They consist of vertical bar fence panels. If your animals are small or known houdinis, you may want to bring some snow fence or hog panels to fill in the gaps.
- Bedding is NOT provided. All owners must clean their own pens at the end of the fiber fair. There will be a dumpster for disposing of used bedding.
- You must bring some informational materials about your animals. The best format would be a sheet of poster board with photos, information about your breed, and possibly fiber samples. (Information could include, but is not limited to, average micron count of the fiber from your breed, traditional uses of the fiber from your breed, where your breed originated, qualities of the fiber, etc. ) Tell us what makes your breed so special!
- We highly recommend that you or someone with you be with your animals at all times to answer questions.
- All animals must have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). This is to protect all animals against the spread of disease. Under no circumstances may quarantined animals be brought to exhibit.
- Exhibitors are welcome to bring fiber products from their own animals for sale in the hall of breeds barn. This includes raw fleeces, yarn and roving made from your fiber, horn buttons, bone needles, etc. This does not include dyed fiber from animals not your own, soap, lotion, or food items.
- Michael Littlefield will be shearing sheep for the sheep shearing demonstrations at the Fiber Fair. If you are bringing sheep that you would like shorn before you leave, Michael will be happy to do so as part of the shearing demonstrations at his normal cost per head.
- Breeds will be filled in on a first come, first served basis. This includes all fiber goats.
